摘要:《大街》是美国作家辛克莱·刘易斯的代表作，刘易斯凭借这部作品获得诺贝尔文学奖。这部小说表现了作家对20世纪20年代美国社会生活的观察和思考，是一部以社会和文化为主题的小说。本文试从空间理论和地理景观的角度对其进行简单分析。具体而言，就是以文化地理学和相关空间理论为支撑，以对《大街》中的“格弗草原镇”“家”“城市”等具象意象的分析为载体，展现文学文本中的地理空间。

ABSTRACT:　　“Main Street” is the masterpiece of American writer Sinclair Lewis, Lewis won the Nobel Prize of literature for this work. The novel shows the author of the 1920s the observation and thinking about American social life, is the novel that take society and culture as the theme . This article tries from the spatial theory and geographical landscape on the simple analysis about “Main Street”. Specifically, based on the theory of culture geography and related spatial theory, to the “Main Street”, “Prairie town” in the “Home”“City” and so on the analysis of the representational imagery as the carrier ,the geographical space in the literary texts.
