Abstract：The rapid development of information technology and network technology, creates a new online learning environment for English majors and makes new requirements for the communicative competence of English majors. This makes it more and more important to study the influence of web-based learning environments on the communicative competence of English majors. 

This thesis will make a research based on the web-based learning environment, aim to explore the influence of web-based learning environments on the communicative competence of English majors, discuss some suggestions on taking advantage of web-based learning environment to improve communicative competence and hatch up some feasible advice under this background.
