Abstract：Vocabulary teaching is an important part of English teaching. The command of vocabulary directly affects students’ listening, reading, speaking, and writing. Therefore studying vocabulary teaching will enable students to improve their English learning and achieve twice the results with half of the effort. This thesis mainly aims at the current situation and drawbacks of English vocabulary teaching in senior high school and emphasizes the importance of vocabulary teaching. At the same time, it offers some effective methods for English vocabulary teaching.

摘 要：词汇教学是英语教学的重要环节。词汇量的大小直接影响听、读的理解，也影响口头和笔头的表达。研究词汇教学有助于提高学生的学习效率，达到事半功倍的效果。本文从我国的英语教学实际出发，针对我国目前高中英语词汇教学的现状和弊端，强调了词汇教学的重要性，并提出了一些词汇教学的有效方法。
