Abstract：Reading is one of the most important skills to acquire a language and reading ability is a better reflection of one’s language ability. Therefore, learning how to read is of great importance. As is known to all that a good mastery of reading skills will help increase our reading speed and improve our reading comprehension. This paper mainly focuses on developing students’ reading interest, reading strategies and reading speed, with a view to cultivating senior high students’ reading ability.

摘 要：阅读是掌握一门语言最重要的方法之一。同时学生阅读能力的高低直接反映他们对这门语言运用的好坏。因此，怎样很好的阅读就越来越重要。本文通过介绍一些具体的阅读技巧如找中心句，猜词，了解文章的结构等方面的论述，来提高学生的阅读速度和阅读理解能力，对高中生英语阅读能力的培养给出了具体的方法上的指导。
