Abstract: Film is a kind of modern art. With the development of society, film has penetrated into every aspect of human social life. Film reflects the cultural differences, values and background by the way of expression which originates from life and above life. The electric scene has become the carrier of different ideology, embodying different values. “Heroism” is rooted in the hearts of fans with its super appealing and expressiveness in movies. Everyone has a heroic dream. When we are young, we all fancy about being a hero. Heroism exists in almost all social cultures from ancient times to modern times. The core of heroism is to evaluate the social value of heroes, embodying the social moral standards and value needs. Two different culture between China and the United States have led to ambiguity in the definition of "Heroes". China and the United States have created their own heroes according to their respective cultural value systems, and have established their own "heroism" The paper is to analyze the cultural differences between Chinese and American heroism through the The Flowers of War and Resident Evil. In these two films. The individualism of American worship and the collectivism of Chinese worship are most vividly reflected. This thesis compares the definitions, manifestations and differences of heroes in the two countries. It is found that they are two opposing spiritual features. Faced with this cultural difference, we should integrate culture, create a more perfect image of local heroes, and improve the concept of national heroism.
