本文将从李安导演的家庭三部曲——《推手》、《喜宴》、《饮食男女》入手，分析三部电影展示出的中西家庭本位与个人本位价值观的冲突、“孝观念”冲突、养老模式冲突，然后研究李安如何化解冲突。最后，探索影片对中西文化融合的启示——尊重文化的差异性、学会求同存异，以及对当代中国家庭伦理文化现状的启示——重视家庭成员之间的责任意识，弘扬孝文化，肯定个人价值。
