Abstract:Family first is always billboarded in American series. This paper is to analyze the value of “family first” in different social classes of America in different aspects through analyzing four popular American TV series. Namely, Shameless, Breaking Bad, Modern Family and The Good Wife. 

Firstly, this paper is to analyze the value of “family first” in American culture and discuss the historical reasons and process of formation of the value of “family first”. Secondly, it is to demonstrate the manifestations in four American series by citing specific examples. This part will focus on the different manifestations in different social classes. Finally, some revelations are drawn from analysis of the value of “family first” and some valuable proposals for Chinese are proposed.

摘要:美剧可以反映很多主题。家庭至上观是美剧中常常宣传的一个主题。本文将通过四部当红美剧来分析家庭至上在美国各个社会阶层的表现。这四部美剧分别是：无耻之徒、绝命毒师、摩登家庭和傲骨贤妻。

本文介绍了美国文化中的家庭至上观，并讨论了家庭至上观的形成原因和形成过程。其次，通过具体的例子来说明家庭至上观在美剧中的表现。这部分将着重分析家庭至上观在美国不同社会阶层的不同表现。最后，作者通过对美国家庭至上观的分析总结出一些对中国社会的有价值的建议。
