Abstract: This paper aims to study the cultural image in the translation of Song Ci. It points out the urgency and significance of taking cultural image into consideration in English translation of Song Ci. Two translation strategies of translation are discussed and used in analyzing Song Ci to reveal the necessity of translating Ci from the cultural perspective. Then several pieces of Song Ci composed by Su Shi are taken as typical examples for appreciating the cultural image in translation. By conducting researches on Ci translation from the angle of cultural image, communications between different cultures are enhanced and contributions are made to the development of translation.

摘要：本文旨在赏析宋词英译中的文化意象。文中指出在翻译宋词过程中考虑文意象的紧迫性和必要性，并以苏轼的词作为典型例子，运用两大文化翻译策略对其进行赏析，从而得出文化意象在翻译宋词时起到的重要作用。通过文化意象的视角来研究宋词的英译，既加深了不同文化之间的交流，又推动了英译进程。

　　Cultural image in translation provide a very good angle for translators to ponder on. It is of great significance for translation to go further instead of lingering on the surface of words and sentences. The translation of Ci provides a better forum for cultural exchanges and communication. Translating Song Ci from the perspective of cultural translation is thus very useful and practical. Combining this two parts, great differences can be made and in this way make contribution to the development of translation as well as Ci culture. 

Studying from the perspective of cultural translation, this paper tries to find the great importance of taking cultural image into consideration while translating Song Ci. Three pieces of Su Ci are taken as examples for illustration to show that various cultures should be rendered with proper methods so as to sketch the original figure in that original culture.
