Abstract: As one of the most famous realistic writers in English literature in the 19th century, Jane Austen’s most popular novel is Pride and Prejudice, in which Jane Austen depicted four different types of marriage and made it clear her own view of marriage. This paper aims to analyze the four different kinds of marriage in the novel. Women enjoy a low status at that time and it has a great impact on their marriages. Holding different attitudes toward the low status, women finally get different marriages. Through this paper, readers may have a better understanding of women at that time and think more about women’s choosing right marriage and the improvement of women’s status.

摘要：简·奥斯汀是十九世纪英国文学史上最为著名的现实主义作家之一，她最受欢迎的小说是《傲慢与偏见》。在这部小说中，奥斯汀描述了四种不同的婚姻，从而阐释了自己的婚姻观。本文旨在分析小说中的四种不同的婚姻。女性当时地位低下，这对她们的婚姻有很大的影响。面对低下的社会地位，女性们态度不一，从而最终选择了不同的婚姻。通过本文，读者能更好的认识当时的女性并对女性选择正确的婚姻以及女性地位的提升进行思考。
