Abstract:The city is a "container", which is a concentrated expression of human civilization. The development of urban economic development is pivotal in a country. As a typical American form of capitalist economy, the city administration is in the market economy environment of city management. In a competitive market economy, US cities also joined the fierce competition with each other, the rapid development of some cities, the population continued to grow, and some cities are in cities across the country continued to decline. Los Angeles has been called the prototype of the modern urban development, however, due to the racial problems, rising crime rates, lack of urban public space and public life and other issues, people began to worry about the future of Los Angeles.
Through a series of measures, including lowering the crime rate which had been conspicuously high in the Chicago public space. the quality of public life has been improved greatly. The crime rate continued to decline in response to the measures, what is more, even cultural industry as the representative of the service industry has prospered.
This paper is to analyze the proposition of the pattern of development of the city from the operation mechanism within the city of Los Angeles, and make some predictions of its future development.
