ABSTRACT
Parallel structure is a common phenomenon in language. Due to the differences between languages, the expression of parallel structure may be different. The comparative study of parallelism in English and Chinese shows that the parallel structure is not completely corresponding relation. From the composition of the parallel structure of English and Chinese, to analysis the types of the composition of English and Chinese, compared to the similarities and differences between English and Chinese to help people to better use this parallel structure. It is not easy to translate the parallel structure of English into a suitable Chinese language. This paper mainly studies five kinds of translation methods, literal translation method, consolidation in Parallels, amplification in Parallels, omission in Parallels and conversion in Parallels. When we using this structure, we must start from the need of the content, can not simply pursue the form, it will affect the language of the expression effect. In this paper, we study the translation methods of parallel structures in English to analyze the differences of the English and Chinese languages.
