ABSTRACT

Architectural culture is the general name of architectural form, architectural connotation and architectural style. The essence of building culture is a reflection of national culture and spirit, the outward manifestation of national temperament. Jiefangbei Monument is one of the landmark buildings in Chongqing, also it’s a legendary monument. The architectural culture of this monument is diverse. Destiny is the important part of the traditional Chinese philosophy. 

Taking Jiefangbei Monument as the object, this paper analyzed the architectural form, architectural connotation and architectural style of Jiefangbei Monument, from the perspective of traditional Chinese concept of Destiny, and explain the architectural culture of Jiefangbei Monument from a historical and geographical perspective. The research of this paper has a positive effect on the better dissemination of local culture and the transmission of Chinese traditional culture.
