Abstract: Public signs are widely used in every aspect of the daily life, and also affect our life. In such an international world, the phenomenon that English public signs are used in public places has become increasingly apparent. The standardization of the translation of English public signs is more and more important. However, there are many errors of the translation of English public signs in public places, such as misspellings, grammatical errors, meaning ambiguity, cultural misunderstanding and so on. Through analyzing the errors of examples and summing up experiences, the author tries to improve the translation errors of English public signs in the dissertation.
