《黑暗中的呼唤》由美国作家亚当·德弗雷尔所写,他通常取材于日常生活来说明精神或道德上的真理。《黑暗中的呼唤》主要向我们呈现了十五岁小女孩史黛西的坎坷人生，并借此表达作者内心对纯朴的情感和生活的向往和怀念。总之，该小说主要讲述了史黛西在母亲死后与父亲在一起的生活经历。本次翻译实践选取包括三部分：弥补、不慎交友和只是朋友。

第一部分主要讲述了史黛西想要采取一些行动以挽回她与托普斯那破裂的友谊，随后，他们再次成为好朋友。史黛西也已经决定继续留在音像店工作，在她工作期间，受到店主克拉斯的胁迫去帮他贩卖盗版光碟

第二部分主要讲了迫于生活的压力，史黛西最终还是决定答应帮助克拉斯向顾客贩卖盗版光碟，该部分还重点呈现了史黛西在店里第一次贩卖盗版光碟的经历。

最后第三部分主要呈现了主人公史黛西和斯凯之间的人物对话，通过他们之间整个过程的交流，读者可以了解到史黛西和托普斯之间只是朋友之情，而非男女之情。

 该论文中另一个重要部分聚焦于在此次翻译实践中所遇到的问题以及其解决方法，最后对此次翻译作一个总结。

INTRODUCTION

A Call from the Dark is written by American writer Adam Deverell who usually gives plots of ordinary life used to illustrate spiritual or moral truths. The novel, A Call from the Dark, vividly represents a bumpy life experience of a 15-year-old girl Stacey, which also shows the author’s yearn for the pure life and sentiment. All in all, it mainly demonstrates the leading character Stacey how to live with her father after her mother’s death. In the translation process, the pages which I translated include three parts: “Making up”, “Running with Wrong Crowd” and “Just friends.”

In the first part, it mainly tells that Stacey wants to do something to retrieving the broken friendship between her and Topps, and subsequently, they become friends again. In addition, Stacey has decided to stay in the store. During her work in the store, she is threatened to do the business of pirated discs.

The second part mainly presents that Stacey decides to do the business of pirated discs for Crass because of the high pressure from life. It also describes Stacey’s first experience of selling the pirated discs in the store.

Finally the third part mainly describes the speeches between Skye and Stacey. Judging from their communication, readers could clarify that the relation between Topps and Stacey is only the one of friend-to-friend, not lover-to-lover.

    Another important part of this paper focuses on resolutions of the problems that arise in the process of the translation frequently and finally gives a summary of the translation,
