Abstract:Classroom teaching is the base of the English teaching. But the classroom is not the only place that the English learning takes place. It also occurs in other places and at other times. Especially for the junior one middle school students, diverse extracurricular activities could stimulate their interests of learning. They play an important role in promoting English teaching and learning. It mainly analyses in this paper how to develop some kinds of English extracurricular activities and combine them with English teaching of junior middle schools in the countryside to stimulate the students’ learning interests.

摘要:课堂教学是英语教学的基础，但是课堂也不只是教学的唯一场所，它同样可以在其他地点和其他时段发生。特别是对于农村中学初一的学生，开展丰富多彩的课外活动可以激发他们学习英语的兴趣。本文主要强调了开展多种英语课外活动，并将课外活动与农村初一英语教学结合起来，培养学生的英语学习兴趣。
