中文摘要:随着经济全球化的进一步发展,越来越多的人开始对学习外语有着浓厚的兴趣,孩子们趋向于在很小的时候就学习英语。因此,对处于小学阶段的学生来说,拥有学习英语的兴趣和动机至关重要。由于形成学习动机是整个学习过程的首要阶段或预备阶段,学习没有动力或动力不足,再聪明的学生也难以取得优异的学业成绩,这就对从事小学英语教学工作的教师提出了较高的要求。
本文主要对小学生英语学习过程中存在的问题以及对影响学生英语学习动机的因素进行了概括分析。通过梳理国内外有关小学生英语学习动机的研究,对激发小学生的英语学习动机的策略进行了探讨,提出了一些激发小学生英语学习动机的策略,以期对今后小学英语教学和研究提出一些建议和启示。

Abstract:With the further development of economic globalization, an increasing number of people are beginning to have a strong interest in learning a foreign language. More and more children tend to start learning a foreign language at an earlier age. For the students in primary school, it is very important to have the interest and the motivation of learning English. The formation of the learning motivation is the primary stage or preparatory stage of the whole learning process. If the student has no power or lack the learning motivation, it is very difficult to get good grades though he is very clever. The teachers who engage in primary school English teaching are put forward higher requirements.
This paper mainly analyzes the problems in the process of primary school students’ English learning and the factors affecting pupils’ English-learning motivation. By combing the domestic and foreign researches on primary school students’ English-learning motivation, the paper discusses the strategies of stimulating pupils’ English-learning motivation and puts forward some strategies to stimulate students’ English-learning motivation. On the basis of the study, the paper expects to give some suggestions and implications for future English teaching and further research.
