Abstract: Currently, in junior middle school, there still exist some problems of vocabulary introduction in English reading class, such as the single way of teaching. After exploring the conditions affecting the application and combined with some teaching cases, this paper tries to put forward the methods of vocabulary introduction in English reading class under the guidance of Transfer Theory. After that, it points out the educational meanings of the application. This research helps to solve the problems existing in the present English reading class of junior high school, which can arouse students' interest in English vocabulary learning and reshape students' confidence in English learning. At last, it can help students transfer the new knowledge from the acquired knowledge, reduce the difficulties of learning & memorizing vocabulary, and improve the efficiency and quality of classroom teaching.
