Abstract:With the development of science and Internet, online translation tools have sprung up on the Internet and have great influence on the English translation learners. This thesis mainly introduces basic information of online translation tools, the influence of using online translation tools and applying strategies. This thesis introduces online translation from the definition, significance and value, common errors and current situation, and explores the influence of online translation tools from two aspects positive influence and negative influence. At last the thesis explains the applying strategies from five aspects: be active learners and be self-disciplined, be critical users of online translation tools, disconnect the Internet and leave the necessary dictionary at hand, macro control of logic and microscopic analysis. This thesis hopes to reduce the mistakes in translation when using online translation tools and use them correctly. In the future, scholars can explore the influence of using online translation tools deeply to let more learners know the advantages and disadvantages of online translation tools.
