48 Hours is a suspense fiction written by English writer J Jackson Bentley. It is a serial novel on the website called Free-eBooks and a great number of readers are following it. The translation chooses chapters from 8 to 15. It tells a story that Josh is blackmailed by Bob, who is mysterious. With the help of the police, Josh experiences several cases and finally catch the blackmailer. 

In the chosen chapters, Josh seeks help from Roddy and Toby. Thanks to them, he collects £250,000 successfully. What's more, they target at Andrew Cuthbertson, Josh's private accountant, who is highly possible to let out Josh's financial position. Josh and Madam Dee find Andrew and talk about this case. Andrew denies angrily. This makes Josh surer about their guess. On the other hand, the blackmailer, Bob is annoyed by Sir Max, who refuses to pay the ransom. As a result, Bob kills him on his charity party with a small glass of potassium chloride. Andrew is shocked by Sir Max's death, and eventually decides to confess to Josh. They make an appointment on the next day but Bob kills Andrew one step faster. All the clues are interrupted and Josh has to pay the money as Bob requires…
