摘要:近代中国的觉醒得力于翻译事业的不懈努力，尤其是其在文学翻译方面的努力。不仅仅是振国强邦、开启民智，也对白话文的成形发挥了至关重要的作用，还丰富了写作手法和文章题材。不过，身处于资本、信息全球化的年代，非文学翻译迸发出了强劲的生命力，文化翻译在新历史条件之下同样承担了让中国文化“走出去”的新历史任务。

而作为文化交流枢纽的译者，应该对自己有明确的定位，以求做到更专更精的程度。而作为译者血液的译者新手，就需要有复兴中华、宣传文化的担当，脚踏实地、坐得住板凳的心态，这样子才能更好的服务于社会。

本文通过比较全面的分析与比较对两者进行了比较。通过语言特点、对译者的要求、各自难点、读者群体、作用及地位等五方面进行具体的归纳及对比。依据文学、语言学的基本知识，从翻译的层面探讨文学和非文学语言的特点，摸索文学与非文学翻译对译者的要求，揭示文学翻译与非文学翻译的难点，提出文学与非文学等翻译应该遵循的基本原则。
