Abstract:A large number of foreign films have been introduced into the Mainland of China and the Region of Taiwan in recent years, of which, the subtitle translation criteria and subtitle translation quality are attracting more and more attention in the field of translation. Taking two versions of Transformers as the objects of study, this thesis mainly analyzes the similarities and differences in subtitle translation between the Mainland and the Region of Taiwan from different perspectives, such as the history, economy and politics, etc., which may enrich the translation experience, and promote the cross-strait academic exchange and cultural integration at a deep level.
