Abstract
The Bluest Eye and Sula are the earliest two growth novels of Toni Morrison. The two protagonists Pecola and Sula’s destinies are influenced by many elements and these elements form their special characteristics and different growth experiences. This paper is to discuss these elements including the analysis of white dominance, sexism, family, friends and black community environment which cause Pecola’s self-destruction and Sula’s self-resistance, and it is conducive to black females to find out a solution to build a harmonious black society in the white mainstream society and solute the realistic problem about how to make black culture remain perfectly.
