Abstract: Based on previous research, this thesis makes further exploration and study on the language features of business English contract. First, the thesis introduces the importance of language in the contract; then, the definition of business contract, categories of business contract and the research about language features at home and abroad. Next, language features of business contracts are analyzed in the aspects of words, phrases, and sentences. At last, the author emphasizes the significance of the language in the business contract and the significance of the contract in the international trade. Understanding and analysis of linguistic characteristics of business English contracts can help us to correctly understand the linguistic phenomenon, and also to improve the effectiveness of language use and language communication ability. The aim of this thesis is to assist businessmen have a better understanding of contract language, and make the contract writing, drafting and translation more accurate, precise, and specific, so that they can do business with foreigners more effectively and more successfully.

摘要: 结合前人的研究，本文对商务英语合同语言特点做了进一步的探索和研究。首先介绍了商务英语合同语言特点的重要性，再介绍其定义、分类和国内外一些学者的研究，然后从词汇、短语、句子三方面进一步介绍了商务英语合同的语言特点。最后强调了商务英语语言在合同中的重要性和合同在国际贸易中的重要性。了解和分析商务英语合同语言特点，一方面能够帮助我们正确认识语言现象，提高语言运用的有效性和语言交际能力；另一方面能够让商务人士更进一步的了解合同语言，从而能在合同写作、起草、翻译都能做到准确、严谨和规范，并且能够在以后的国际贸易买卖中取得更好的结果。
