Abstract: Fuzziness is one of the basic attributes of language. The communication of language needs accuracy as well as fuzziness, so fuzzy language is widely used in people’s communications. In the practical business activities, in order to reach a specific goal, fuzzy language makes a great contribution to business English. This paper, through the research of the application of fuzzy language in business English, tries to discuss the pragmatic functions of fuzzy language, briefly analyzes the embodiments of the pragmatic functions of fuzzy language in business English. It aims to analyze the application of fuzzy language in business circumstances, deepens the understanding of fuzzy language in business English, so as to make better use of fuzzy language in the practical business communication in order to achieve a better effect.

摘要：语言的模糊性是语言的基本属性之一，语言的交际既需要精确也需要模糊，因而模糊语被广泛地运用到人们的交际中。在实际的商务活动中，为了能够达成特定的目的，模糊语在商务英语中产生了积极的效果。本文通过对模糊语在商务英语中的运用的研究，试讨论模糊语的语用功能，浅析模糊语的语用功能在商务英语中的体现。旨在分析模糊语在商务情境中的应用，加深对商务英语中模糊语的了解，以便在实际的商务交际中更好的使用模糊语，使商务交际达到更好的效果。
