Abstract: Code switching is the use of two or more linguistic varieties in the same conversation or interaction. Assuming school campus as a natural setting where code switching takes place, this paper presents researches abroad and in China about English-Chinese code switching, which aims to investigate several main factors of college students English-Chinese code switching on the university campus. By using specific conversational settings, the author  tries to explain some factors influencing code switching on campus, respectively from communication purposes, relationship between speakers and language preference，hoping to promote the successful communication among college students.

摘要：语码转换，是指人们在一次性对话或交谈中使用了两种或更多的语言变体。本论文采用分析中西方有关英汉语码转换的文献，报告了中国大学校园内学生英汉语码转换现象的几个主要的影响因素，通过对大学生交际目的，交际者之间的关系以及交际对象的语言个人喜好等因素进行分析，运用特定的情景语境设置来举例说明，旨在促进大学生这个语言社团的交际能力。
