Abstract: Nowadays, different nations communicate with each other more frequently and share culture with each other. However, such cultural differences bring more obstacles for interlingual translation. With the tendency of “cultural turn” in translation, how to transfer culture becomes the focus in the translation field. This thesis attempts to begin with the definitions of culture and cultural image and then it focuses on analyzing the methods of translating cultural images, adopting foreignization or domestication in order to transfer culture to target readers.

摘要：当今世界全球化不断加剧，不同文化相互交流。但是也正是这些不同的文化因素给语际间的翻译带来了诸多障碍。随着翻译界的“文化转向”，如何在翻译中体现源语文化越来越成为学者们关注的课题。但是要指出的是因为文化差异译者往往处于文化意象内涵与文化意象表层形式不能兼得的尴尬境地。本文拟从文化及文化意象定义开始探讨，再从具体翻译实例中初探文化意象翻译以及在运用归化异化方法时的适度问题，旨在从目标语读者角度完成翻译策略的选择以达到文化传递与交流的目的。
