Abstract:Nowadays English is becoming more and more internationalized, and it has an obvious tendency towards localization. The development of English has been proved this point strongly. At present, along with the reforming and opening-up in China, foreign exchange opportunities are immense. How to use English which not only suitable in form but could express the implication to fully express Chinese native culture? It becomes a pressing research topic to deal with. English sincization must consider the basic English vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation, while the Chinese local character and the traditional Chinese culture cannot be ignored. In this essay it took Lin Yutang’s masterpiece Moment in Peking as a example to study. Study the trace of translation from the point of intertextuality, and learn the translation skill of Chinese culture from the point of foreignization.
