Abstract: During the long history, different peoples created various forms of folk culture. Among them, folk songs have important effects on literature, history, folklore and sociology. They are created to express authors’ thoughts and feelings and reflect their art talents and wisdom. These songs affect our lives deeply and widely. Therefore, the translation of folk songs has great importance. It contributes a lot to the communication between different cultures. This paper will discuss the characteristics of folk songs and focus on three translation methods which are frequently used in the translation of Chinese folk songs.

论文摘要: 在漫长的历史发展过程中，植根于各民族文化的沃土，各地区的人民创造了丰富多彩的民间文学，其中，民间歌谣是活跃在各个时期的民间文学样式之一，有着极其重要的文学、历史学、民俗学、社会学等诸多价值。民间歌谣是各地人民以自己的艺术天才和集体智慧创造出来的极其珍贵的文化财富。可见民歌翻译意义重大。它在中外文化交流中有影响深远。本文旨在探讨民歌翻译的三个常用方法。
