Abstract：Double negation, a common linguistic phenomenon, plays an important role in expressing mood. Therefore, studying English double negation and its translation is good for improving English study.

　　　Double negation exists both in Chinese and English. Many scholars at home and abroad have studied double negation from different angles. In the view of its importance, the study presents views concerning double negation and the introduction to similarities between Chinese and English double negation, the translation of double negation by some translation theories, including literal translation, free translation and finally it probes into the problems in the double negation translation.

摘要：双重否定是一种普遍的语言现象。双重否定句在表达语气上起着重要作用。因此，学习英语双重否定句及其翻译对提高英语水平有着重要作用。

　　　无论中文还是英语，双重否定句都普遍存在。不少中外专家从不同角度对双重否定句进行研究。鉴于双重否定句的重要性，本文分别介绍双重否定句的基本知识；中英文双重否定相同点的介绍；通过翻译理论中的直译，意译等翻译方法来讨论双重否定句；在双重否定句翻译中应值得注意的问题。
