Abstract:Jane Eyre is a famous production which is translated into many languages and by many readers. Since its publication in 1847, it has drawn the attention all over the world. What makes it prominent is the protagonist, Jane, a girl with rebellious spirit at Victorian Age, a time when women were strictly restricted.

　　The thesis attempts to make an analysis of Jane’s image to illustrate Charlotte’s feminism consciousness embodied in Jane Eyre. The thesis intends to analyze Jane’s image from five aspects: a woman searching equality in love, a woman searching for independence in finance and spirit, a woman revolting against the oppression and tyranny, and a woman as male road guide. Based on that, it is concluded that Charlotte is a proto-feminist. Furthermore, the sources of her feminist consciousness are proposed.

中文摘要:《简爱》是在世界文学史上的一部著名作品。他被翻译成多种语言流传于世，深受全世界读者喜爱。自从1847年出版以来，就吸引了全世界的目光。小说的女主角简爱使小说显得很突出，简爱是女性严重受抑制的维多利亚时代富有反抗精神的代表。

　　本文试图对简爱形象的形象分析揭示简爱中体现的夏洛蒂的女权主义意识，论文从四个方面分析了简爱的女权主义形象：社会背景以及夏洛蒂勃朗特，追寻爱情平等，追求经济与精神独立，反抗压迫。基于这些，简爱是女权主义的先驱。

　　本文旨在阐明早期维多利亚作家作品中的女性声音，也更好的帮助读者从女权主义视角了解了夏洛蒂和她的著作《简爱》。
