Abstract：The paper overviews briefly the translation of translation of Government Work Report,    the most typical political document in China. Firstly, the paper focuses on the comparison of political documents both in Chinese and English. Through this comparison, striking differences between these two versions of political documents are given due attention and discussed. Based on the equivalence theory, a detailed analysis is carried out at three different levels, i.e. the lexical, sentence, and discourse. Every level is represented by some problems which deserve special attention. Generally, the paper aims to study the strategy taken by translators when translating the report, especially through the reflection of the equivalence theory.

摘要： 本文以政治文献中最典型的政府工作报告为例，对报告的翻译作了综述介绍。首先通过对中外政治文献的比较，得出一些不同点，作为下文进一步分析的主要问题。之后基于等值理论展开不同层次的详细分析，分别是词汇层面，句子层面和段落层面，每一个层面都有几点值得注意的难点。总而言之，此文目的是通过政府工作报告中所反映出的等值理论探讨报告翻译中所采取的策略。
