Abstract:Coherence is one of the discourse’s traits, as well as one of the most fundamental but controversial concepts in discourse analysis. In past decades, linguists have explored coherence from different perspectives, such as semantic and pragmatic angles, and have achieved significant fruits. However, these theories themselves are incomplete, for cognitions, social and cultural backgrounds are neglected.

　　　Based on the past studies on discourse and discourse coherence, this article mainly explains discourse coherence with idealized cognitive model theory, cognitive reference point theory and conceptual metaphors theory in cognitive linguistics. They will serve as theory foundation for dynamic research on discourse coherence. Besides, the progress of interpreting discourse coherence with these three perspectives includes cognitive activities taking place in our minds, thus actually constructs a kind of mental coherence. These two aspects contribute a good completement and development to the past studies. I hope to shed some light on the construction of a systematic and comprehensive theory on discourse coherence in the future.

摘要:连贯是语篇的重要特征，也是语篇分析中一个重要而且颇有争议的研究领域。几十年来，语言学家们从不同角度对语篇连贯进行了大量研究，从语义和语用的角度研究连贯现象都取得了重要进展。但是，同时这些理论自身也存在不足，即忽视了认知性，忽视了具体的社会和文化背景。

　　　本文在对语篇及语篇连贯研究历史进行回顾的基础上，从认知语言学的视角对语篇连贯意义的建构进行了阐释，主要以认知语言学中的理想认知模式理论、认知参照点理论和概念隐喻理论三方面来阐释话语交际及语篇中的意义连贯是如何建构的，为动态研究语篇连贯提供了理论依据。另外，用这三种角度解释语篇连贯的过程包含了大量在我们头脑中进行的认知活动，因此，实际上是建立了一种心智上的连贯性。这两方面的优势使认知语言学方法成为以往研究的重要补充和发展。笔者希望本文的分析可以为未来建立一个系统、全面的语篇分析理论提供有价值的参考。
