Abstract: This paper aims to explore the impacts of the affixes on English vocabulary memorization. It first discusses the importance of vocabulary learning, and analyses the current situation of the Chinese students’ English vocabulary memorization, which leads to the significance of affix to enhance the vocabulary memorizing effects. Secondly, the author elaborates the definition of affixes, and illustrates the significance of affixation to word memorization. On the basis of these theoretical discourses, this paper focuses on the application of affixation in word memorization, and recommends several methods, including: the prefixation, the suffixation, combination of prefixation suffixation, and memorizing through interpretation of affixes method. Through the study in this paper, the author concludes that, the learners can get better memorizing effects by using word-forming rules and scientific methods to memorize words..

摘要：本文旨在探讨词缀对英语词汇学习的影响。本文首先论述了词汇学习的重要性，分析了中国学生英语词汇记忆的现状，从而引出词缀对提升词汇记忆效果的意义。其次，笔者阐述了词缀的定义，并举例说明了词缀对单词记忆的作用。在理论论述的基础上，本文着重探讨了词缀法在单词记忆中的应用。通过本文的研究，笔者认为掌握英语单词的词缀构词法，利用科学的方法记忆单词，可以更好地实现单词的记忆效果。
