It makes us know how Huck grows up from a little child, and how he changes his attitude to Jim, as well as how to completely breaks with the so- called “civilized society”. The life experience of Huck reflects that the Americans desire to ger rid of the restriction of the European “cultivilized society”. They want to have life and freedom with their own real style. And the most imporatnt thing is that the theme of Huck helping Jim to escape represents Mark Twain’s idea, that is the negros should enjoy the same democracy, freedom and rights with the white people. Huck’s growing up and maturity is the Amercians’ growing up and maturity. Huck is growing up with his country.
