ABSTRACT:As a musical style，Hip-hop helps American blacks who lived in slums to express themselves and relieve psychological pressure originally. After undergoing many difficulties, it is finally accepted by American whites gradually, even accepted by the people all over the world. Gradually, hip-hop evolves into a kind of culture, the youth-oriented culture. As the most popular cultural trend, hip-hop contains music, dance, graffiti, DJ and fashion as well as a kind of lifestyle which involves a variety of elements. This paper explores how hip-hop impacts on American society and culture from the view of culture，pointing out how hip-hop influences American culture from art, sports, and fashion. And it has a positive effect on people’s physical and mental health, social communication, economic growth and social stability, so has great influences on the development of American society.

摘  要:Hip-hop最初作为一种生活在贫民区的黑人们用以表现自我，发泄不满的一种音乐风格，在经过了重重磨难，逐渐被美国白人所接受乃至被全世界的人所接受。Hip-hop渐渐演变成了一种文化，一种以年轻人为主导的文化。作为最受瞩目的文化界潮流，hip-hop包含的不仅是音乐、舞蹈、涂鸦、DJ和时尚，而是包含各种要素在内的生活方式，是一种文化形态。本文将从文化的角度研究hip-hop对美国社会和文化的影响。指出hip-hop从艺术，体育，时尚的角度来影响着美国文化;它促进了人们的身心健康，社会交往，经济增长和社会稳定，对美国社会的发展作出了巨大贡献。
