Abstract: Marriage culture is a representative and typical embodiment for cross-cultural            communication. In order to study the revelation of the cultural differences in marriage between China and America to cross-cultural communication, the paper presents the cultural differences in marriage between China and America. Besides, it analyzes the reasons why there are cultural differences in marriage between China and America from the following angles: the ways of choosing a mate; the purposes of marriage; the ceremonies of marriage, with the hope of making everyone comprehend the cultural differences between China and western countries so that people can respect different cultures.

摘要：婚姻文化是跨文化交际中典型且富有代表性的体现。本文通过展示中美婚姻文化的差异来研究中美婚姻文化对跨文化交际的启示。同时，本文通过择偶方式、结婚目的、以及婚礼仪式这三个来分析中美婚姻文化存在的原因，希望人们可以理解中美婚姻文化的差异，以便尊重文化差异。
