Abstract:Nowadays, English speaking has received more and more attention at home and abroad, especially the Vocational Colleges’ Students who aim at practical   and functional  use of English after their graduation. This essay is going to analyze the difficulties and barriers of improving spoken English ability. Therefore, it is necessary to study the reasons which depress them and to propose the corresponding countermeasure.

　　　Oral English plays an important role in foreign language teaching and learning. But there are certain factors mentioned above to influence the vocational school students’ oral English in current teaching. The result is that there is little communication and interactions between teachers and their students, and students themselves. Apparently, vocational school students’ oral English is very weak. If the students want to speak well, they must master rich English language and insist on practicing. And the speaking is a skill that can and should be developed in china if the students and the teachers can work together.
