Abstract:The paper suggests several scientific and effective memorizing methods to help students to improve the efficiency of memorizing English vocabulary and English learning skill through citing German psychologist Eggbinhaus’ well-known Forgetting Curve, and through the analysis of the features of memory, according to the body biological memory law and the characteristics of English vocabulary. There are three types of memory: rote memory, logical memory and motion memory. And there are another three systems of memory which are immediate memory, short-term memory, and long-term memory. The paper suggests some memorizing methods based on the combination with characters of memory and English vocabulary. They are logical memory and long-term memory method, time interval and materials processing method, distributed reviewal and focused reviewal method, vocabulary association method, episodic memory and semantic memory method. The key point of this paper is to submit the effective memorizing methods on the basis of the application of psychology and characters of English vocabulary, in order to solve the difficulties in memorizing English vocabulary and to make English learning more interesting.

中文摘要:本论文通过引用德国心理学家发现的的记忆保持理论和遗忘曲线以及对记忆特征的分析，根据人体生物钟的记忆规律、英语词汇的特点，提出几种科学有效的学习方法来帮助学生提高英语词汇记忆的效率和学习技能。论文介绍了三种不同类型的记忆：机械记忆、逻辑记忆和运动记忆，同时介绍了另外三种不同系统的记忆：瞬间记忆，短时记忆和长时记忆。根据记忆特性和英语词汇的结合提出了相应的记忆策略，分别有逻辑记忆长时记忆方法、时间间隔和材料加工、分散复习和集中复习、词汇联想以及情景记忆与语意记忆。论文的重点在于通过提出以心理学的应用和英语词汇的特点为基础的词汇记忆方法，从而解决英语词汇记忆的难题和使得英语学习更加的有趣。
