Introduction

　　In the field of modern linguistics, language, the carrier of culture, will update continually with the development of the society. As a result, the appearance of neologism is reasonable and inevitable.

It is a very common phenomenon that more and more neologisms emerge in any kind of language. The lexicographers make great efforts to collect and describe the neologisms in time. The rather historical study of neologism came from lexicography in the past. The neologism lexicon marks the beginning of a new era in the field of lexicography. According to incomplete statistics, more than 20 kinds of neologism lexicons have been published to the public. Some of them lay stress on academics, and some emphasize the popularity of the lexicon. No matter which kind the lexicon is, the lexicographers will meet the problem of selecting criteria of neologisms in lexicography. It’s a hot potato for lexicographers because it concerns the quality of the lexicon.
