Abstract: In Sons and Lovers, D. H. Lawrence attempts to seek solutions from the abnormal maternal love of Mrs. Morel and Paul's Oedipus complex. Mrs. Morel’s emotional control to Paul can be seen in all sides, and the corresponding Phaedra complex gives rise to Paul’s failures of love with two women (Miriam and Clara) .Only by establishing harmonious relationship with the utility of soul and body can true love be achieved. This paper, based on the relationship between characters and emotional entanglements of characters, focuses on the detailed analysis on the theoretical basis, actual performance and the consequences of the Phaedra complex and the Oedipus complex in the novel.

摘要：在英国现代派小说家劳伦斯的作品《儿子与情人》中, 作者试图从莫瑞尔太太的畸形母爱及保罗自身的恋母情节中寻找答案。小说中处处可见莫瑞尔太太对保罗情感的“控制”，以及相应的“恋母情结”致使保罗在俩个女人（迷恋和克拉拉）的灵与肉的爱情无疾而终，只有建立和谐的两性关系, 灵与肉的统一才是真正的爱情。本文将在分析作品人物关系、情感纠葛和情感投射的基础上, 着重对“恋子情结”和“恋母情结”这种畸形之爱的理论依据和现实表现、造成的危害进行详细的阐述和分析。
