Abstract:With the development of visual culture, more and more rapid progress has been made from painting to photography, from movies to television, from home theater to video telephony, from network television to the popular podcasts we have been living in a "simulacrum era" with production and consumption of popular audio-visual culture. Research has proved that our access to information is that: seeing accounts for 83% and other elements account for the rest of the part. The key to English learning is to spare no efforts to memorize more vocabulary in an easier way. In order to enhance students’ overall quality of vocabulary, this paper proves a more effective teaching method by combining the appearance of the word, the meaning of the word and other methods, together with the revolution of teaching aids and multimedia teaching. As a result, students could do a good job in vocabulary learning and cultural education.

摘要:纵观视觉文化的发展历程，从绘画到摄影，从电影到电视，从家庭影院到视频电话，从网络电视直到今日流行的“播客”，这些方面都随着视觉文化的发展取得了快速进步。我们当代人已经生活在一个影像大众化生产与消费的声像组成的“仿像时代”。实践证明人们获取信息的来源有83%从视觉中获得，而其他各个因素占据了剩余的比例。英语学习的关键是努力用最简单的方法记住更多的词汇。为了加强学生的整体记忆单词的质量，本文研究了一种更为有效的教学方法，通过把单词形态艺术化、单词视觉表象化、单词意义情景化等方法，利用教具和多媒体教学的改革成功的将单词学习和文化教育相结合，使学生在文化教育中轻松又有趣的掌握单词。
