[摘要] 本文通过对毛姆的《月亮和六便士》的分析，描述了画家斯特里克兰德的成长之路，其中包括了其艺术上的成长和成人的成长历程，在他的成长过程之中他经历了“月亮”和“六便士”的选择，最终实现了自己的理想。毛姆以第一人称的叙述手法，用独特的语言艺术表现了艺术家成长的特殊主题，是成长小说的又一代表之作。

[Abstract] In this paper, Somerset Maugham's The Moon and Six pence is analyzied, and the story of growth of the artist Strickland is depicted, in which both the growth history in his carrer as an artist and physical growth are included. During the course of his growth, he made the choice between the Moon and six pence, and finally he realized his dream. Narrated from the pespective of first person, the author expressed the special topic of the frowth of an artist with the unique linguistic art, thus made it another representative of bildungsroman.

毛姆的《月亮和六便士》却以第一人称描述了中年人查尔斯·思特里克兰德成长为艺术家的过程，以其独特的写作手法记述了斯特里克兰德因为追求内心的完满丽逃离了文明社会，执着的追求者“月亮”的历程，最终成就其在绘画中崇高地位。毛姆的小说描绘了艺术家的成长，同时也是成年人的成长。这都是有别于传统的青年成长小说的，而又不失其独特的成长主题。
