摘要

　　　为了满足广大农民的精神文化需求，从根本上解决农民“看书难、买书难、借书难”的问题，改善农村落后文化约着我国农村整体发展进程的现状，我国实施了“农家书屋”工程。“农家书屋”工程是我国新农村文化建设的重要载体，是惠及我国广大农民的民生文化工程，也是建设新型社会公共文化服务体系中的重要组成部分。本文以中央及各级政府出台的有关加强农村文化服务体系建设，以及实施“农家书屋”工程建设等一系列文件精神为背景，分析弥勒县“农家书屋”工程在社会主义新农村文化建设中发挥的作用及其可持续发展过程中存在的问题，并针对存在的问题，提出弥勒县“农家书屋”工程可持续发展的对策。
